Recently, Ali and I were invited to have breakfast with Gina Brooke, Madonna’s make up artist of 10 years (Yes, THE Madonna)! This invite was for the launch of Make Up For Ever’s new Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color line. 

The star of the show? Aqua Rouge in Nº8 Iconic Red - the official lip color of Madonna’s MDNA tour. We were so inspired by the looks Madonna wore on her tour that we decided to do our very own version that can take you from day to night. For this tutorial, I enlisted the help of CA's very own lovely and newest addition, Nicole. Isn't she adorable? 

Daytime look:


Steps 1 and 2: Start off by applying your favorite eye shadow primer. Next, pat a matte vanilla shade all over your lids, creating a nice canvas. Apply the same shade on the brow bone to highlight.

Steps 3 and 4: Using a fluffy blending brush, apply a matte brown eye shadow onto the crease to accentuate the eyes. Blend out the color in a windshield wiper motion. Apply the same shade on the outer corner of your lower lash line.



Steps 5, 6 and 7: Draw an extended line of the outer corner to act as a guide for your cat eye. Then, starting from the inner corner, tracing along the lash line, connect the your liner to the outer corner for a perfect cat eye. 

Step 8: Highlight your lower lash line with a black kohl eyeliner. 

Steps 9 and 10: Apply a soft pink color on your lips and cheeks to complete your daytime look.

Nighttime look:
Easily take this look from work to a night on the town in a few simple steps.



Step 1: Darken the outer corner of your eye using a gunmetal grey eye shadow. 

Steps 2 and 3: Apply Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge in Iconic Red and top it off with a gloss. 

Step 4: If you’re feeling extra glamorous, apply a full set of false eyelashes.
