For Christmas we put up two trees. One has just the usual everyday ornaments. The other is filled with frames of our loved ones that have past. We call it our memory tree!

we always leave carrots out by the milk and cookies for those hungry reindeer.

I love y'alls traditions!

For Halloween we normally take our daughter to the trunk or treat events they have going on and on halloween day we take her trick or treating with family or one of her friends.

For Christmas we attend her Santa workshop at her school, where they'll do activities and take a picture with their Santa helper. And we attend a few other activities that other people have going on. On Christmas eve we let her open her Christmas eve box which usually includs a nice set of pjs, a Christmas movie and book, hot chocolate and Santa's key for her to hang on the door so Santa can get in!

For Thanksgiving we dont really do too much! But I'd very much like to switch it up and figure out a way to show our thanks in a special way.

Thank you guys for sharing your traditions! I love learning about how others celebrate their holidays! :)

For Thanksgiving we just go to my husband's grandparents to eat dinner and then get ready for Black Friday shopping (which I can't wait for this year!!) and then we put up the Christmas tree after shopping.

For Christmas we are literally everywhere. On Christmas Eve we go to my grandpa’s house that morning and then that evening we go to my dad’s parent’s house for dinner and presents. Them Christmas morning the kids get up and open presents and eat breakfast and shortly after we’re out the door to go to my husband’s grandparents for lunch/dinner and opening presents and we also have a lip sync battle in full costume. I'm so ready for the next two months!!

For Halloween we go to this huge parade our town does every year. The kids dress up and love the food, music, and entertainment. Halloween Eve, we bake lots and lits of cupcakes and decorate them spookily and then carve our jack o lanterns where we picked from our local pumpkin patch.

Thanksgiving we keep it really small. Just the 4 of us, my husband cooks an amazing meal while we listen to Christmas music and decorate our tree. Then we eat and depending on weather we take a family walk to burn those calories.

Christmas Eve we bake soooooo many cookies, and watch a new Christmas movie in new jammies that their elf brought, and we read the night before Christmas. Then they go to bed while I wrap all the gifts. Christmas morning we make a huge breakfast before we open gifts and go to our families.

I love everyone's special holiday traditions! It's so awesome learning everyone's simpler and different ways that we celebrate!

We also do the Elf for our daughter, she gets a kick out of it every time Trixie does something new! We do the Black Friday shopping occasionally, but lately we seem to be doing more of it online than we do going out and shopping, haha!

Does anyone put up their Christmas tree earlier than Thanksgiving? I feel like each year I want to put it up earlier and earlier! Haha!

Our elfs name is Pixie Lou Who and luckily she isn't super mischievous (no huge messes to clean up.. Hahaha) but she can sure hide!!!! My Italian mother always told me that putting the tree up before Thanksgiving was bad luck, so that's always stuck with me, but if it wasn't for that I would so put it up early!!!! Hell I'd probably leave it up and decorate it for the different holidays.
