    This is an instant doorbell!! With 36 different chimes,I have mine on Christmas already!! You can plug the receiver into any outlet so you don't miss anyone at your door.My hubs plugs the receiver into the garage when outside,and we bring it in an plug it in where ever we are. Its nice and loud !! and does have a volume button if you have doggies that go a lil bezerk over the slightest new noise lol..I love this so much and I recommend it to everyone.
