Not what I expected

We received this toy for free in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately, the toy was selected for us. We do not own any Bakugan toys, so my kids had fun setting it up and then were done. They did end up using it as a dance floor for other toys and then we passed it on to a friend who's kids got tons of bakugan for the holidays.
That said, if you DO own Bakugan, this set would be fantastic. It creates a nice flat surface for the action to take place. No awkward half-popped battling on the carpet. There are places for unused bakugan to sit, places for the cores to stay, as well as slots for character/skill cards.
Everything is organized and arena is incredibly easy to set up and take apart.
I would never purchase this for my family, but I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who collects this toy and wants to actively battle them.

Cool battle stage

My 8 year old son is very excited to have the Bakugan Battle Matrix! Unfortunately, he did not already have any Bakugan toys. But, now he can't wait to buy some so he can really battle! The stage set up is really cool. He loves that he can push the toy off and it rolls around. There are holders for the cards on the side of the stage. Also, the hexagon pieces fit perfectly on the board. This is a great start to his Bakugan collection. We'll be adding more to it later today!
