Its definitely caramel

It took me a while to find this product, happened to be in a Shopper's Drug Mart and found it. And I found it over priced ( on sale for $5.99, regular $7.99). I had been looking forward to trying this flavor. I love brownies in my ice cream. This is more like an iced milk flavored dessert. Right off the bat you are hit with caramel flavor. The brownie pieces were good. I just didn't like it. I think I would have preferred a vanilla based ice cream, not iced milk, with caramel ribbons or chunks and the brownies. Maybe take this one back to the drawing board.

Some things just shouldn't be made low calorie

I was very excited to be offered the opportunity to try Breyers Delights Caramel Brownie free in exchange for my review. The idea that ice cream having only 90 calories per serving was available was intrigued to me!

Unfortunately, Breyers missed the mark on this one. The taste is extremely artificial and left a sweetener aftertaste on my tongue. There was almost a maple-like taste to it, although i couldn't tell from the ingredients qhy that would be. Honestly, if it weren't because I agreed to review the product, once I read the ingredients, I didn't even want to try it. It is chock full of the ingredients that I do my best to avoid.

On a positive note, the little brownie pieces were nice and chewy and actually did taste chocolatey. The texture overall was very nice, soft, and very much like regular ice cream.

I will be sticking to choosing full calorie ice cream as a treat in the future.

Not worth it

I had high hopes as I’m a Breyers ice cream fan. And was more excited that I got to try to this for through the product review club. But I was quickly disappointed. Firstly, it’s quite expensive! It costs more than Haagen Daaz and other higher quality brands.

In terms of taste- there’s nothing to write home about. This is a frozen dairy dessert first and foremost so you can not compare it to full fat ice creams. For me, it was thinner in consistency than other frozen dairy desserts. It was also too sweet for my own liking. The only part I enjoyed as the brownie bits.

Not a Fan

I was really excited about this ice cream as it's low-cal, higher in protein, and lower in sugar. Unfortunately, I didn't find the ice cream rich and creamy as I would like. I actually found it quite watered down tasting. It also had a very strong taste of the alcohol sweetener. I also found it had quite the aftertaste of the sweetener which tasted artificial.

I wish this was a winner as I do love the other ice creams by Bryers.
