Brita - helping the environment

I’ve always purchased Brita filters. I think it’s so important to help save the environment from plastic water bottles. We always purchase the 3 pack and try to look for sales. I like that the filter lasts 3 months and the brita water container tells you when to change the filter. I will continue to keep buying this product to help our planet!

False claims on Chlorine Taste/Smell

We purchased the large one with the pour spout. Followed the directions and filled. After the 3rd fill the chlorine smell and taste were present. We always run our water for a while before filling to rid all that sits in the pipes. The claims that they last 2 months are far from true and removing the chlorine taste and smell only lasts for 2 fills not 2 months. Afraid we wasted our money on the pitcher and the filters. Replacing that frequently may be better to by a water cooler.

This product can be a touch pricey if you or your famiky drink a lot of water. However compared to the cost and waste of plastic bottles this the best alternative.

I use these on a regular basis, Iam on a well but I use them anyway. The water taste really good, the water comes out nice and clear, I keep mine in the fridge

Using filters definitely makes a difference in my drinking water. While these are a tad pricer than competitors and off brands, they do seem to work better. If you buy in bulk (packs of three for example), you end up saving a little bit. You do get your money's worth since the soonest you will likely have to replace one is about 2 months. Sometimes these can be a bit tricky to place correctly - you need to make sure that they are positioned right and are down far enough to create a seal, or else the filter is not doing it's complete job and you will have particles and non filtered water get through.
