Buckley's cough syrups have been around for decades because, as the ad says, "It tastes awful but it works!" When I have a cough or congestion, I use Buckley's and find great relief.

It really doesn't have a pleasant taste.. and it leaves a burning sensation on the way down.
I tend to chase it with some water, just to be rid of the taste.
But! it works faster than any of the other brands that I have tried.
Great to have on hand, especially during the fall/winter months when colds are so common.

Buckley's is the only thing that will help reduce or completely get rid of my cough and the night time formula is the only thing that actually allows me to sleep without hacking. It may taste gross like everyone says but it works wonders!

I just got over my flu and this was really a lot of help in giving my dry cough some quick relief. It tastes nasty though. The smell of ammonia is really strong and it makes my stomach hurl. I had to chase it with a glass of water.

This is the only stuff my boyfriend will use when he has a cold, and he literally isn't sick for more than a day...ever....Does it work, absolutely, but oh my, I just cannot stand the taste...I would recommend this to anyone who is dying to get rid of their cough, but this just makes me gag...lol koodos to those who can stomach it

C'est un sirop efficace totalement en cas de congestion. Par contre, le goût est complètement horrible. L'efficacité du produit me fait l'acheter à chaque fois que quelqu'un est malade chez moi !

Wow, I use to think that I was the only one who actually liked the taste of Buckley's. I never understood why they advertised it as tasting awful but being effective. I use this the second I feel a sore throat coming on and it starts to work right away. I recommend this to anyone and everyone when I hear they are suffering from a soar throat. It does have a bit of a thick base but I figure it's because it has to coat the throat. It's my go to medicine for the fall and winter seasons.
