No name brand taste and looks

These crackers are the NO NAME BRAND inside old Christie Premium plus Box. Someone screwed up! That's all I wanted to say but since my review needs to be longer, let me tell you that they are not as crispy, not as tasty and not as tasty looking. The picture on the box are how they locked before and not how they look inside the box now.

Why change a good product???

These crackers have been my favourite crackers for 60 years. My nanny always kept a dish of these crackers on the kitchen table for snacking. I cannot remember her without the memory of these crackers.
I thought I had bought a bad batch about a year ago. I waited a few months and tried again. Again a bad batch. Many months later I tried again. Yuk! They are not even close to the older product.
I would rather have paid more for them if price was the issue rather than having the company make an inferior product.
Three strikes and you’re out!

Taste Like Perfume

I eat Saltines when I feel sick or when I have headaches. I can no longer eat them because the crackers taste like perfume. After experiencing the bad taste in a box of Saltines I threw out the box and the opened-but uneaten-sleeves of crackers. I purchased two subsequent boxes because I thought perhaps the first box was an aberration. But nope-all sleeves of crackers tasted the same-like perfume! I have now switched to Walmart crackers. They aren’t as good as Saltines used to be but they do not taste like perfume; they taste like sofa crackers!

Nope I’m Done!

My favourite childhood snack of all time is now tasteless and cardboard like. I thought I just got a bad couple boxes but apparently I was wrong. This is my third jumbo box and they’ve gone in the garbage. They’re awful. No colour to them so they look undercooked and no taste at all. Not crispy like they used to be. I’m over them. Time to move on. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

Why did they take something perfect, and ruin it??

I have always loved Christie Crackers and cookies, but they changed the cracker recipe and they are now tasteless small cardboard squares! I am beyond disappointed! I used them for so many things, including crumbs in meatloaf, cheese and spreads, with soup, and coatings on meat. Now I’m drying bread for crumbs instead for coating. They were my go to cracker, life truly is not fair, why would they go cheap and lose all their customers, how does that save money, if that’s what the plan was, it backfired. I no longer buy anything Christie made, “Mr. Christie, you do not make a good anything!!”

Selling generic crackers under the premium plus name.

Premium Plus crackers were the best crackers out there. The light and fluffy brown top crackers are nothing more than generic cardboard garbage they are selling as Premium Plus. I have an entire box from Costco and they’ll be going back to Costco cause it’s false advertising. These crackers are absolute garbage.

Worst Cracker Ever!!

What was once the Premium Cracker is now nothing but crap you wouldn't feed to a hog. Someone in their infinite wisdom changed the recipe, probably to save 2 cents and have now destroyed the best cracker ever baked. What a shame Nabisco. You really blew it and I will not be buying this garbage again.

Sadly I will never buy again...

My sentiments are the same as all the reviews I see below. I've enjoyed these crackers for nearly 40 years. I've probably eaten over 100 000 crackers in my life easily. But a couple months ago, I noticed something had changed just by the appearance and more importantly, by taste as well. These are not the crackers I've enjoyed my entire life. The texture is horrible. They are no longer flaky but hard and brittle. The salt is nearly devoid and the taste is that of a bitter, slightly burnt cracker. I would suspect this change in recipe comes down to savings dollars and cents...and unfortunately, it will also be saving me dollars and cents as I will no longer be purchasing this product. Just bring back the old crackers. I would be wiling to pay a slightly higher price for the product. These new crackers are simply disgusting.

What happened?

What happened to the premium plus crackers? These are disgusting. Worse than any cheap brand including the dollar store brand. Why try to fix something if it's not broken? After being a life long consumer I'm done with these mushy tasteless undercooked crap. I'll be looking for another product.

You destroyed a good thing

Why would you change something that didn't need changing. Whom ever at Christie decided to change them must be new to the cracker. I've been the crackers for 50+ years and you just destroyed me. No more crackers and cheese, peanut butter, cheese wise and tomato soup, etc to look forward to anymore. Shame on Mr. Christie, you use to make a good thing.
