Quantity over Quality

My family loves a good game night and we were over the moon to give the 10 game classics set a try. I love how there are so many activities to choose from, which gave my kiddos the opportunity to learn some new games thanks to this set. The praise somewhat stops there, however, because the craftsmanship and quality with this set were found lacking. The first game we attempted was manacala (a family favorite), but we found the pieces too small to play with and adequately keep up with. It turned what would have been an otherwise pleasant gaming experience into a bumbling mess. We also found the directions on some of the activities to be lacking in clarity in parts. The pieces to the other games were a little easier to manipulate but were still not as sturdy as pieces that would be found in other game sets. We enjoyed getting to learn some new games from the set, but at the end of the day our overall take on the 10 game set was that quality was sacrificed for the sake of quantity.
