A soothing and purifying delight!

Himalayan salt lamps are pleaseant to behold and healthy to have. As the salt is heated it creates an air detoxing effect, pulling toxins to the salt. As this happens there is the effect of the salt drying and falling away, so you do need to sweep around your lamp every now and then but it is worth it. We have two now, I do believe there is an unseen air detox going on, no upper respiratory infections since plugging them in. One child, however, doesn't like the appearance saying it reminded them of fire, so be ready to convince small children of the need.
You can get the same effects by slicing an onion in half and letting it sit out on a shelf but despite the air purifying effect a half an onion on your shelf is just not aesthetically pleasing and will get you some weird looks.

Not sure what it's actually doing

Other than providing a nice rose glow to my room, I'm not entirely sure what it's doing for my health. Call me a skeptic, but I haven't noticed improved sleep or more restfulness.

Relaxing

Love to have this lamp turned on when I am at home. It helps me relaxing and I like to look at the orange color. Is very calming and I really enjoy.

So soothing

If possible get one with a dimmer to choose the light intensity. I love the soft light in my room before bed, perfect mood to go to sleep, so much more relaxing than a big bright light. Also have a bigger one in the living room. I'm not sure yet if it helps with my allergies but I love it anyways.

Must have!

This item is a must top have on my list. I believe in what they are good for plus they look pretty too. You can get them for under $40 For a large lamp. I need more!

Need relaxation? Need a soothing environment?

This is a must have for me! I love himilayan Salt lamps; I have them in every room; at work near the computer and a large one by my large livingroom TV! Not only does it clean air it also relaxes you, gets rid of stress and just makes you feel all around amazing! I recommend every home to have at least one!
