It’s not the worst

The smart bacon was easy to peel apart and place on the baking sheet. It had the feel of a very thin bologna. We tried the smart bacon in the air fryer and while it was cooking it gave off this unappetizing smell so I thought for sure that it would taste terrible. We let the first batch cook until it was crispy and when we tried it, it actually wasn’t that bad. Fairly salty but bland otherwise. We baked the second batch until it was firm but still pliable and it was much more palatable. My 10 year old son loves it and claims it as his own. Decent try for plant based bacon.

Don't Smell It

I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years and have tried it all. This bacon sounded good. Plant Based is having a moment right now so I figured I have nothing to lose.. ha.
It smells terrible, tastes terrible and has the texture of chewing on rotting fabric. It smells like old dirty tupperware and tastes nothing like bacon. So disappointing.
