    Worth 2.25 for 500G TOPS

This peanut butter currently sells regular priced at Atlantic superstore for $5.49 - what a JOKE. You can find it priced as low as $3.29 at the Real Canadian Superstore however - go figure - $2.20 cheaper? who's gouging here? Here's the facts folks - keep a pantry, and purchase Kraft or JIFF when it's on sale for 3.99 - 4.99 a jar, and purchase enough to get you through to the next sale. This peanut butter - it's quality and taste? it's worth about $2.25 at most in my books - I used to purchase this at Shoppers drug mart on sale sometimes for 2.99 pre / during COVID. Now the best you will see there is 3.99 - bottom line? if crap peanut butter now costs this much? spend the extra few cents for the good stuff when on sale!!!!

    Pretty okay

I do buy this peanut butter often when Kraft or Jif is not on sale but it’s not my first choice. The flavour is decent, although more sweet and less salt than my mentioned preferred brands (the kids don’t notice a difference). This peanut butter also has a tendency to separate to a certain degree and will develop an oily slick on top that needs to be stirred in, not the biggest deal in the world but still mildly annoying.
Works well in baking and the flavour and consistency works well for peanut butter cookies and the like.

It's just JIF with a different label.

My favourite brands of peanut butter have always been Skippy Smooth or JIF smooth. I personally cannot stand Kraft because I find it too salty, not creamy enough and too dry.

When I first got this stuff, it was just to try it. The flavour and texture were shockingly good! I was wondering what company made it because I know very well that Loblaws doesn't make peanut butter.

Well, I just happened to pick some up today at a No Frills near work and I noticed that they had JIF sitting right next to it. They seemed oddly similar for some reason so I picked them both up and noticed that they had almost the EXACT same jar. Then it hit me why I liked it so much, No-Name Peanut Butter is nothing more than re-labelled JIF!

If you look at different brands of peanut butter, you'll notice that not only do they always have different labels (of course) but they also always have different jar designs, as in, not even close (other than the fact that they're all jars). The jar designs are mass-produced by a plastic company based on contracts with each company that makes peanut butter. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the jar design was copyrighted or patented to preserve the overall look of the product. Having a jar this similar could have legal repercussions unless of course, JIF sold it to Loblaws that way.

Well, this peanut butter is definitely in a JIF jar and instead of costing me $5.97 (the price for 1kg of JIF), it only cost me $3.77. The funny thing that I noticed was that the smaller jar (maybe 500g) was $3.00 so it was totally not worth it. I'll take the full kilo for an extra 77¢ every time.

Now, I could be completely wrong about who makes it but it does look and taste (to me anyway) EXACTY like JIF Smooth. Whether it looks like JIF or not is completely for you to decide:

Anyways, what's most important is that if you like Skippy or JIF, this stuff will taste great. If you like Kraft, or the weird "organic" stuff (aren't all peanuts organic?) this may be too sweet and/or creamy for you but try it anyway. The price is so low that it's worth the risk.

    Worth

This is cheaper than other brands, obviously! Hahaha! Especially when you get it on sale. I got mine 2.99 or something for 1kg I think. It's pretty good. I alternate it with the crunchy one of you want variety. Even if you don't like the taste you can honestly just add it to your shake for texture.

Its not bad, especially for the price

So I've always been a Kraft or Jiff guy but I seen No Name Peanut Butter on sale for $2.79 for 1kg. Pretty cheap so I decided to give it a go.
Other people say it tastes as good as the "leading" brand...I don't think that's true. I'm not here to sugar coat. I't sorta tastes like a less sweeter version of Kraft, a bit more bland of a taste. I usually get 1kg of Kraft for $3.99, is it worth saving $1.30? for me, no. I like peanut butter to much. But if your trying to save money or in a tight spot and you just want Peanut Butter then its definitely worth it, it doesn't taste bad by any means. I't being the lowest end of Peanut Butter you can buy I'm impressed with it. I will eat the entire jar lol.

    Cheap and amazing

I usually compare no name brand to the leading brand and this peanut butter was better and cheaper than the leading brand. Also the macros on this are better than the leading brand if you are interested in nutrition. A great buy!

    Delicious and affordable

I purchased a 1KG container of No Name brand's smooth peanut butter as the price was too good to pass. This peanut butter is so creamy and delicious.. no different than the premium you pay for Kraft peanut butters. So delicious on toast!
