Description

Dr. Pimple Popper™ lets you help Pimple Pete pop his pesky pimples while avoiding erupting the mega-zit. Once all the pimples are loaded and the mega-zit plunger is filled with water (or any other form of liquid), players take turns spinning the spinner.

The spinner determines where to pop the zit – chin, left cheek, right cheek, or forehead. Pop any pimple on that part of the face, but be careful when you pop! Too much pressure and the mega-zit will explode.

    Kids game

My kids couldnt wait to play it as soon ad it arrived. Its more of a 6 or 7 yr olds game. My 11 yr old played, but she didnt enjoy it as much. My 6yr old loved the fact that it squirted water. I thought the face was kind of unappealing, but i guess that is the whole purpose of the game.

Fun for a short time, but could use improvement.

First off, we received this game for free to review.

My 5 year old son was super excited to play. He helped me assemble the game & put the pimples in the face. He thought it was so funny to pull the pimples out, anticipating getting sprayed with the water. The only problem was that if you didn’t pull hard enough, it barely sprayed. We figured out after going around every player that you had to pull quickly while holding just the blue base. The instructions made this clear, but my son didn’t understand that; he wanted to hold the face.

Once it was an adult’s turn, the pimple “burst” and squirted the water with some force, like the picture on the box. Overall, the game was fun because someone got wet. It took a couple turns for that to happen. My son got bored rather quickly though, so we only played twice. Putting the pimples back in took a while too, so he didn’t like waiting for the game to be set up again.

    Looking pretty desperate, Spinmaster

I recently had the opportunity to play Pimple Pete for the first time. I was previously familiar with the company, but not this specific game/toy. When I received it, my initial reaction was, “yuck.”
I played the game with my husband and 5-year-old son, who helped me set up the game.
Even though my son had fun pulling out the pimples & watching myself and his father get squirted with water, I had many issues with this game. First of all, I found myself feeling conflicted by my son’s questions regarding the game’s subject matter. At 5-years-old, I really didn’t want to make him so body conscious quite yet. Therefore, I told him that I did not know what was wrong with “Pete’s” face.
Secondly, as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, I have a slight aversion to a game that encourages skin picking (Google Skin Picking Disorder for explanation).
Third, and most importantly, a pimple-popping game seems like a desperate attempt to profit off of the current cultural fascination with pimple-popping videos. I say, “desperate” because the demographics of the population to whom these pimple-popping videos are so fascinating is not the same population seeking out games to add to family game night. Even though I don’t have any value-based objections to this product, I am completely turned off by Spinmaster’s obvious attempt to profit off this sort of cultural fad/obsession. The desperation of this product has definitely had a negative effect on my overall impression of this company.
Would I recommend this product?: No. Because it’s — for lack of a more appropriate description — stupid. I can barely stand how stupid it is. I cannot even imagine a better example of exploitative marketing/consumerism.
I received Pimple Pete for free from Family Rated in exchange for my feedback. My review is base solely on my personal experience & was not influenced by any other factors or parties.

    So much fun to play

I wasn’t sure how I felt about Pimple Pete when I saw it first come out, but I was able to get the game FREE through FamilyRated, so decided to check it out. I played it with my sister and my niece who is 2 ½. She loved pulling the pimples out then would giggle if it sprayed on her. In the package you get, pimple Pete, a syringe, the base with the turner on it, and about 18 different pimples. The pimples range from 1 to 3 in points. The simple ones are 1 point than the harder ones are 3. And trust me they are tough to pull out! The set up of the game is really easy, you just pop the pimples into Pete’s face, then attach Pete to the stand, Fill the syringe with water up to the fill line, then you want to pull back on the lock behind Pete’s head and place the syringe in the holding camper, then press the little red button to lock it into place and you are ready to go! I would say set up took less than minutes, super quick. The quality of the plastic is super nice, it is made of a thicker plastic and will not break easily. Overall, it is a great game for the whole family to play and have fun with, you don’t even really need to keep track of points, you can just have fun trying not to pop a pimple! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! #pimplepete #FamilyRatedClub

    Not great

This game is not what it's cracked up to be. When playing the game the water wouldn't shoot out from the nose when you would pull out a zit. When you go to pull out a zit and it activates the water it never did anything except leak from the back of the nozzle. It's a very easy game for the kids to figure out how to do it, but it gets pretty old, pretty quick. It's very repetitive when you start to play it. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. I got this game for free to review.

So Fun And Easy To Use

The Pimple Pete game is a fun family game that is very easy to set up. The game is exciting because you are not sure when you will be the one to get sprayed. The game is well made, easy to assembIe and you do not need money so you save a lot of money. It brings me back to my childhood when games were simple and everyone sat around the table and played a game for hours never getting tired. My first thought was eew when I saw the box but my curiosity kicked in and I was ready to try it out. I was suprised at how quickly my son and my nephrews took to the game. We will be playing this often and I would purchase it and others like it again in the future.

    Big hit for all ages!

Pimple Pete is a great family game! Our whole house is a fan of watching Dr. Pimple Popper and we’re not surprised to see her picture on the back of the box. The set up for Pimple Pete is extremely easy. My 9 year old daughter set it up. I knew she would love the games, she’s the family game fanatic! However, I was very surprised that both my 14 year old son and 13 year old daughter not only played but had fun too! They all liked that the pimple plugs resembled what magnified pimple plugs look like. We let our 9 year old keep score to help reinforce math skills. The kids have played several times since we received Pimple Pete complimentary in exchange for our honest review. To me that’s the real test...if the kids go back to a game to play over and over again o their own it’s a total win for us!

You are going to get wet!!!

This game is very easy to set up and play. It's very simple to play and doesn't require batteries. Also, you don't have to worry about reading (other than the instructions ).
The zits are squishy and have great quality , my kids love them. You pull the zit from wherever indicated and the size of the zit determines the amount of points you receive (there are three different sizes of zits) . Very simple for sure!!! The goal is to get as many pimples possible without popping the mega zit. It's definitely very entertaining and my family absolutely loved it. You will get wet if you 'pop' the mega zit, so be careful. 😂😂The instructions are simple to follow. You just fill the plunger, pull back the mechanism till it clicks, put plunger in till it locks in place (it will make a snap noise) , push the red lever down. . Repeat once the mega zit pops. Keeps family entertained .I would recommend this game; great quality, simple and fun to play, no batteries, no reading , entertaining!!! Just be sure to keep a towel on hand for the water.

    Ok Game

So I played this game a couple times with my family and was board the first round we played. I have a 14, 10 and a 3 year old who I played this game with. My 14 year old played a whole round with us my 10 year old played only one turn. They got unintended really fast. Thats not something that as a mother I look for in a game. I want a game that will hold their attention longet. However my 3 year old loves it even tho it says its for ages 5+. The game is made of good material and seemed fun. It just didnt hold our attention too long. We like to play games that last longer and would like it to hold our attention longer. Its exciting getting squrited the first couple of times but not so much after that.
