Super Cute Idea

This idea is very creative and cute. I love that you want to get the kids involved in a hands-on activity. The execution, however, needs a little bit of tweaking. The instructions were pretty helpful, but more written out information would have been better for me, personally. I do not like the bursting bubble thing! You have to pop the “bubbles” to mix the silicon material. I had to use more force than I liked, because I was afraid it would go everywhere. It did not seem like I got enough of the mixture pushed down into the mold, but it worked out well. My kiddo was very disappointed about the wait time being 45 minutes. By the time the gellies were ready, she had already lost interest entirely. She had a very bland reaction to the completed products. I like that it was not as messy as other toys, though. Clean up was quick and easy.

Make new friends!

This was a fun activity. I like that you can mix or match the pieces. My older child wanted to do it without help and was a bit disappointed that it didn't come out "perfect." You definitely want to make sure you get as much mix in the mold as possible, although the other one still ended up with marks from small air bubbles. In general, it was easy enough that my children could do it with minimal supervision and (except for the 45 minute dry time) was a nice quick activity. It does have the potential to be messy if your little ones have trouble following directions.
