Unlike every other subscription I've ever tried (which is a lot), Revive does not send out email reminders prior to your renewal date. I thought I had my account on hold, but it turns out this was not the case as I was billed $143 for smoothies on April 9th, and my renewal date was April 10th. I called them the morning of the 10th to try to cancel my order, and they refused even though the product was not to be shipped for another week.

The smoothies are good but I don't think it's worth it for the price, and I do not appreciate the poor customer service who are completely unsympathetic and unable to help their customers.

Also, my smoothies arrived completely thawed (the dry ice was gone) and I'm not sure how food safe it is to have the fruit completely thaw and then re-freeze again.

    Worst customer service!

Literally the WORST customer service I've ever encountered! They messed up running my payment so my box won't be shipped in time because of their mistake (and yes I have the emails to prove it). Then run my card for an order 2 weeks out instead! With everything going on with COVID19 I'm on a strict budget from not being able to work due to stay at home orders in my state. That being said these were supposed to be my meals for 2 weeks twice a day and they charge me for an order that won't arrive for 2 weeks, and that blew a large chunk of my food budget for next week and they won't refund so guess I just won't eat for a week. Do not order from them. This is the 2nd out of 3 orders I've had issues with. Do Daily Harvest instead much better customer service.

Ps. The positive reviews on here are from their employees... they're all from Ontario Canada where the company is based, coincidence? No

Terrible customer service and sketchy business practice

Very sketchy business practice. They bill you for the following week before you even receive your first order so you can’t even cancel if you don’t like it. Tried to get customer service to help me but they were rude and condescending. I wouldn’t order again solely based on this experience. Also I can’t find a phone number to actually escalate the issue.

    Poor service, Confusing system

I tried the sample order of 9 cups and they were OK. Nothing fabulous considering the price. I then cancelled my subscription, but did not receive any confirmation of that. And there is no phone number to call for service. 3 months passed and I received a surprise order of 12 smoothies that I did not order. There is no recourse or refund offered. I think I have cancelled (again) but I am not confident, so I will likely call Visa and ensure no more charges go through.
I do not like systems that are so complicated that I cannot cancel as needed. I do not recommend the product or the way the company operates. I am very dissapointed in their service.

Try them but know what you are getting!

I tried this company based on ads. I have been using another company for years and Revive was cheaper. Once I got my first order, I realized that they are misleading the consumer a bit. There is a difference between cocao and cocoa and flavoring and nuts. So, they are doing these things to give the consumer a more affordable product. But, it is still misleading.

The smoothies that I tried were OK. The acai bowl is terrible and so far removed from the picture they advertise.

You do pay almost a week in advance for a box. I am not accustomed to that. I think it is a little odd. If you are in the states, you may have an extra charge (nominal) because it is an international transaction. I got charged $1.55 for a $51 order.

You can only pause your subscription. There is no way to remove your credit card or cancel. That worries me a bit. Be selective in the card you use.

Their customer service completely feels like you are emailing bots. I had received from them a 4th box free offer so long as you kept your subscription active. Check. At one point, I thought about changing the plan size to order more. I changed it but then sent them an email promptly asking them if I could do that. They said that would void the 4th free offer. So I changed it back. I never received or paid for more than the first box. Well, even though I never actually ordered anything larger, it still voided my offer and they would not honor it. I went back and forth with them trying to get them to understand that it was a mistake on my part but I was unaware of the restriction. They, too, copy and pasted a previous email to me. Anyhow, they would not honor it but offered me 30% off my next two boxes. Hard pass. That discount would not total what my 4th free box would have been. Honestly, I continued to order from them to get to the 4th free and then was going to go back to the other company. The quality just wasn't good enough.

There are a lot of shady parts to this company. So know that you are getting subpar ingredients. That they may be deceptive about advertising/naming versus the ingredients list. That customer service may or may not be a human being. That your card is forever in a paused subscription. That you are going to pay for these products a week before you get them. And they really do not care about retaining your business.

I wanted to add that they are not including negative reviews on their site nor are they include the negative scores into the calculations for the average. Another company I have used actually posts those reviews and responds to them publicly.

so the cheapest is 9 smoothies/oats a week for $60 which is $240/m for one smoothie a day (or oats). Save yourself the money and buy frozen fruits and veggies, but then in containers or baggies in the freezer then they’re ready to go whenever lol.
a so a huge bag of oats is less than $10 and lasts weeks!
it’s really not worth the money.

    Deceptive practices

I had really enjoyed Revive Organics — now Revive Superfoods, but recently they changed the product in the name of “supercharging” it. Sadly, the changes seem to be another example of green-washing. They have removed hazelnuts and replaced with hazelnut flavour. They have swapped out the cacao in the Blue Cacao smoothie and replaced it with cocoa ... false advertising. At least they’ve changed the name of Berry Blu since there are no longer any berries in it. Worst of all, though, is that they delete any negative comments off of their Facebook page. Shady.

They say the packaging is recyclable but it is not. It’s huge amounts of foil and insulation. I feel like I can buy a couple bags of frozen fruit and make the exact same smoothies. They also don’t get back to customers.
