    I love them

I love them. These Rubbermaid containers are the best ever. They really do keep produce fresher. I ordered another set for myself and one for my daughter. Well worth the price.

No all its cracked up to be

The idea is great but unfortunately the product does not deliver. Its overpriced and does not really do what it should. I followed the directions to a Tee and found that my produce still went bad just as quickly in it and is did out of it. Its nothing more than an overpriced plastic storage container.

    If you've got the money...

I've put off writing this review because I didn't want to write a bad one...but here goes.
I #gotitfree and thank goodness! There is no way I'd pay 15.00$ for a single container. Sure, the container is good quality (as most Rubbermaid containers are) but if you're like me and my family fruit and veggies don't last long enough in our fridge to warrant the purchase of such an expensive container.
I intentionally purchased a brand new container of mixed greens for this experiment and split the contents between the original container and the Rubbermaid FreshWorks container. We avoided eating anything from either container and to be completely honest there was maybe a days difference between when the original container greens started wilting before the Rubbermaid container greens did.
So all in all a good quality product but not worth the money unless you tend to keep fruit and veg in your fridge longer than a week.

I received my container free from ChickAdvisor but all opinions are my own. This product is harder to find but after seperating strawberries from the same bunch into the container and the original clamshell, it was definitely fresher in the container. Would love a larger one for keeping lettuce fresher as well.

    My poor berries

I was thrilled to be picked to try this by ChickAdvisor but ended up very disappointed. I went and picked 12 pints of fresh strawberries and filled the Produce Saver with some and left others in the cardboard containers used for picking. After two days in the fridge the ones in the original container were just as fresh as when I picked them, while those in the produce saver were moldy.

    Still on the fence

I received this product from the Chickadvisor Product Review club for free for my honest opinion.

I picked up the medium sized Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver Reviews at Canadian Tire where it retailed for $14.99. At that price I am glad I got to try it free. The first thing I did was put it through dishwasher and it came out unscathed. I used it to store grapes. I liked that it comes with a little green piece to put on the bottom for moisture to collect under. While there was lots of condensation in the container, it was all on the sides, none had gathered at the bottom. I kept the package that the grapes came in with half of them in it for comparison. I kept the grapes on the stems for both packages. Overall I found the length of freshness to be the same for both ways of storage. I will keep trying other food items to see how well it works however I don’t see myself buying more of these containers.

    Fresher, Longer

I wasn't sure what to expect with the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver but it did a decent job at helping to keep my fruits and veggies fresher, longer. I found they didn't wither or spoil as fast and also, it helps to keep other odours from the fridge from interacting with the food. They seem a bit pricey for buying a whole collection of them, but they do seem to make a difference in the life span of fruits and veggies.

Disclosure: #igotitfree through Chickadvisor. However, all opinions are genuine and my own.

I would buy it for my prepared rice but not for my fruit..

#gotitfree I was given the opportunity to try the new Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver which was fantastic because my strawberry garden was ready to pick. I filled the container with my unwashed fruit as instructed & stored it in the fridge for 7 days. On day 7 I removed container from fridge and checked the results. Usually strawberries last one day due to eating in my house so this was a record already. The strawberries were still nice & red but had become very soft and moist almost wet. On picking up the container it fell through my fingers to the floor spilling the contents on the floor. Prior to that they were still ok to make a stewed topping for sundaes. I would buy the larger container for my green leaf lettuce but not for my fruit. I was not satisfied with this container for that purpose. I have since used it to store prepared rice & for this iit was great. I feel there is room for improvement for fruit use. I would recommend it for other purposes. #RubbermaidFreshWorks

    Not worth the cash

I received this product for free to review through the Product Review Club. Honestly, I was super excited to try this - after all, who doesn't want their produce to last longer in the fridge? I know I do, less waste, less $$ down the drain! However, while the concept seems legit, in practice it doesn't really work - at least for me it didn't. I tested this for 2 weeks using mushrooms. The first week I followed the directions - removed original packaging but didn't cut or rinse them. After a few days I was seeing some brown spots, which seemed to me the same time frame as when I leave them in the original packaging. So the second week I tried an experiment - I put half the mushrooms in the container and kept half in their packaging. By the end of the week, both batches looked identical. I really wanted this to work, and if it had, I was prepared to fork over the cash to stock my fridge with these, but unfortunately that won't be happening. Glad I was able to test it first! The label says their claim to keep produce fresh up to 80% longer is based on strawberries, which I would like to try - couldn't find any for a reasonable price lately, but if I get a chance in the near future and it makes a difference, I will be happy to update. For now, though, I would say, save your money. If you want to use plastic containers, other cheaper ones would work just as well.
