Nice but Not the Best Fit

Very intrigued about a cleansing oil and was excited to try it. My skin is sensitive and prone to blackheads/breakouts, so it can be hard to find products that work for me. I don’t wear makeup so I can’t comment on how effective a remover it is.

It didn’t come with clear directions, so I had to Google it. I wonder if from other reviews there may have been some user error that affected people’s experience.

It smells amazing, goes on heavenly, and left my skin feeling very smooth and nourished without being oily. Unfortunately, I found my blackheads to be worse after using it. It didn’t have a deep cleansing effect like I was hoping it might.

I may still use it from time to time, but I’m not sure yet where it fits in my skin regimen. I really wanted to love it, but it just wasn’t the right fit for my skin.

Shu Uemura cleansing oil

It probably does a good job at removing makeup but my skin is red after using it. This oil is not gentle on the skin I have sensitive skin I love the sent .

Makes skin feels so smooth

After a week, i feel that my skin is looking healthy soft, smooth, and visibly glowing.
I'm in 30s dull skin kind started to show. Hoping that the longer i use it, the better my skin gets.

Sample was small, but loved it!!

Loved it!! Left my skin feeling silky and smooth. Would definitely buy it again!! I only wish I had a bigger sample size so I could use it over a longer period of time.

Luxurious feel, mediocre cleansing

I received this for free to try from @thisisbutterly. I've never used a cleansing oil and I enjoyed the luxurious feel of the wash. On the downside the liquid is a bit more difficult to control in comparison to your average face wash. Although it smells and feels nice, I prefer my facial cleanser to remove more makeup and impurities than this did. It also left my face drier than usual afterwards. All in all, this wasn't really for me and my combo skin. #tryshuuemura

Effective, Light, Smooth, and Simple to Use

The first time I used the Ultime8 Cleansing Oil was after a 10 hour shift. It removed a day's worth of grime and dirt in under a minute. The Ultime8 cleansing oil was light and thin, very water-like, felt more smooth than oily. It transferred easily from my hands to my face. Adding water caused the oil to thicken quickly and more water washed all traces of it away almost immediately.

My skin looked better, so much so that I did a double take. The best I can describe it is my skin looked more uniform in color and the few lines I have on my face were less prominent in that moment. My face felt full / plump but not tight - as if every cell had been rehydrated.

More enjoyable to use with much better results than my usual mild facial scrub. If you use soap or a scrub I would recommend trying the Ultime8 cleansing oil. I have already purchase more myself. I want to see the if daily use for several weeks produces any prolonged effects. Try it and you'll see and feel a difference.

Nice scent, doesn’t leave an oily feeling

I received a sachet sample to try so I couldn’t only use it twice, it did remove my make up and sunscreen, without leaving an oily feeling, I liked the scent sweet and soft.

Not a fan.

I’m not in love with this product. The directions are not great. I’ve tried using it dry and after wetting my face. Neither removed my mascara which isn’t even waterproof. I’m also not a huge fan of the fragrance.

Sample sachet not enough for single use.

The size of the product that was provided as a sample was not enough for me to check the effectiveness of the product. I was not even able to remove my make up completely.

Loved it!

I had the opportunity to test and review the Shu Uemura Ultime8∞ Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil thanks to butterly! I really loved this product ! It goes on so easily and makes your face feeling so soft afterwards! It is an oil but I didn’t find it to be super oily after it was rinsed off and you only needed a very small amount to cover your face. The scent is really nice and not over powering which is perfect for a skincare product. It removes make up very easily as well which is great! I did find my pores to look noticeably smaller after using this for a week! Definitely would recommend!
