I would not choose this flavour again.

I was expecting something completely different as I do prefer fruity flavours or citrus because they seem less rich, less sweet. I found the taste of the white chunks overpowering and I thought the ice cream itself would be more black raspberry and darker right through instead of mostly vanilla with raspberry swirled. By the end of the baby size single cone serving I was feeling sick from a strange flavour not anticipated. I do like Kawartha brand and other flavours, although I’m not a frequent eater of ice cream and I prefer a healthier fruit smoothie.

I eat this even though I don't handle dairy well

Dairy upsets my stomach and I generally try to stay away from ice-creams but something about this specific flavour makes it worth the gastrointestinal distress. I really can't explain why, but I've yet to find a substitute - either with or without dairy - that comes close.

My absolute favorite

This is my absolute grantor ice cream. I was so excited when I could start getting at a nearby grocery show rather than only when visiting ice cream stands. The ice cream is so nice and smooth, the raspberry swirl is tangy, and the chunks of white chocolate are a tasty bonus.

Delicious Icecream

The best ice cream ever! Black Raspberry Thunder is my favourite but Kawartha Dairy's other flavours are amazing. It has white chocolate bites in it which go extremely well with the black raspberries. I lived in the Kawartha area and when we moved out of the area I was so happy I could find it in stores like Metro. It is the only ice cream we buy. Amazing delicious!

OMG! This is good stuff! It's vanilla ice cream with lots of raspberry ribbon with chunks of white chocolate chunks. The white chocolate chunks is a nice surprise to your mouth. Worth trying esp. if you love raspberry flavour like I do. A bonus when it's on sale(which it was!)
