This product seems like such an exciting activity and plush pet for a child. In reality, it seems to overpromise and under deliver. It boasts that it has 10 surprises and unless they are counting the for that comes off of the animal, and the actual animal, I have no idea how they are even getting anywhere close to 10. That alone is very misleading. The fire that you “shave “off of the animal is already falling off of the animal before you even take it out of the box. It is quite messy to clean up when it gets on the couch or floor. One of the instruction steps says to give it a bath and then either dry it with a towel or a blow dryer. We did both and it is still very wet. Needless to say, this didn’t hold my kids attention for very long. It says for five years or older but this was for my three year old. I definitely don’t see it holding an older kids attention for long. -

So fun that this childhood game that I grew up on is around now! It seems though that the quality of the game pieces is not as good as it was back in the day. The hippos mouths get stuck and don’t open to grab marbles causing MELTDOWNS for the kid using that particular hippo. When working well, it is a GREAT game for young kids as it teaches skills like color recognition, counting, patience, hand-eye coordination, and following rules, just to name a few. Despite the satisfactory quality that this game is made with, I would still recommend it for families as it is a great introduction to board games. -
