Okay quality

I wasn't amazed with these, I just think that you could find a better alternative elsewhere if I'm honest. Not bad, certainly not the worst but they aren't my favourite set

I am glad I got these free because I would not pay as much as the asking price for these otherwise. I found the quality okay but they didn't stick well. #gotitfree

When I was chosen to review these back-toschool labels, the impression I got from their webpage was that these were high quality stickers that would stick on virtually anything my son owned. When I got the package in the mail, I was pretty surprised as they look just like regular stickers you'd get from the dollar store with my son's name on them.

We tried them on several items such as his shoes, backpack and jacket. In each case, the stickers did not stay on well at all. They were very flimsey and the corners were always raising. The ones in the shoes came off right away after use.

For the $40 plus dollars they are charging for these, I definitely wouldn't recommend these to friends or buy myself. Way too expensive for a pack of stickers!

The online ordering experience was a breeze but I was taken back at the price point immediately. I thought holy there must be many people with more money than time on their hands but I'm not that mom. We only have one child and the $48 price point is far too high for the labels given the generic quality. The labels looked appealing online though. I expected a little more selection with fonts and graphics given the price point on what is essentially a spruced up sticker, but I accepted Mabels Labels narrow selection in the creativity dept and did the best I could with what little they had to offer. I choose one of their most popular clip art pieces (skull & cross bones) and paired it with what I thought was an Aqua, grey and navy colour pallet. The delivery was pretty fast (I used the free option). When the stickers arrived I was thankful it was not my $50 in that tiny envelope. I was hoping upon opening the package I would be pleasantly surprised and my concerns would be put at ease because the quality would be fabulous...

That didn't happen. I was really surprised at the lack of content in my envelope. If I had purchased this package myself I would return it immediately for a refund. First grievance, the colour pallet was not accurate. The Aqua blue is a more of a baby or powder blue, not even close to the vibrant Aqua the website portrays. The second is I just feel like for the quality of the stickers there should have been way more for the price. Again, glad I didn't have to pay for these but I won't sugar coat a review and promote a product I feel is lack luster either.

I will update more on the quality once these labels are applied to my sons school supplies and I get a chance to witness their longevity. Even if they are rock star strength, the price point is too high for this family. I think Mabels Labels should invest in expanding their design options and font selection. I feel I would be paying a premium price for a generic product with poor selection. That being said, I really appreciate the idea of Mabels Labels, I think at a lower price point they would be much more appealing and less of a disappointment.

These labels are basically just overpriced stickers. They're all printed on 3M adhesive paper (the ScotchTape brand), even the labels that are intended to go on clothing or shoes, which I find to be a real shame because the staying power isn't the best. For binders and school supplies, Mabel's Labels is just fine, but I've dealt with sturdy cloth labels before and this is just a cheaper alternative. I can't believe they would charge 42$ for a booklet of stickers anyone could make themselves. The only thing that was worth it in my pack is the metal keytags that can be used as keychain. These are obviously waterproof and more resistant.
If anyone is thinking of printing their own labels, you can buy a labelling machine at WalMart for a fraction of the price and create a variety of names. It's inconvenient that you can only have 1 name printed for the entire order. This becomes extremely costly if you have multiple children and order from this company.
